Current Areas of Interest/Research Focuses:

  • Remote sensing for soil property determination and cotton yield prediction.
  • Ground-based sensor development for yield monitoring of cotton and sweet potatoes.

    Teaching and research in precision agriculture (including remote sensing, sensor development, GPS, and GIS) and crop processing (including process waste utilization, crop quality measurement, process improvement).

    Agricultural Engineer / Research Scientist

    U.S. Cotton Ginning Laboratory, USDA/ARS, Stoneville, MS.

    Research in cotton ginning (disposal of cotton gin waste, instrumentation and image analysis for cotton quality assessment, computer control of ginning process).
